Distributed Surface Applications on the Web
Software architectures enable specific applications, but they must also support them, and the extent to which they do is a key measure of the architecture itself. We are interested in surface computing application on the web, and we are building a variety of generic applications that are both useful in themselves, and allow us to explore the requirements in a supporting architecture. We are beginning with common wall applications, such as mind-maps and cork-boards, and then conducting evaluations and refinements for specific applications. This project thus works with our projects on surface web architecture, agile card walls, and also serves a launchpad for new applications of interest to our industry and government partners.
